Photos of Plant Restoration Over Time

Once the invasive non-native vegetation has been removed, native vegetation can begin to move into the area, providing habitat for wildlife. Below are before-and-after photos from Frannie's Preserve and the West Sanibel River Preserve.

A location in the West Sanibel River Preserve, overgrown with Australian pines, in 4/6/05, prior to clearing.	Native vegetation makes a comeback by 5/3/06.  This area was formerly dominated by Australian pines.
